This foundational course is approximately 3 to 5 hours in duration including range time.


Designed to give responsible gun owners the confidence, knowledge and tactics needed to defend their home and family effectively.

✅ Previous handgun experience OR completion of our Intro to Handguns (ASG-B-101) course is required.

Course Information

Have you ever asked yourself, "What would I do if someone broke into my home?"
If you don't have a realistic plan for protecting yourself and your loved ones, this class is for you.

Our experienced instructions, each with backgrounds in military, law enforcement or NRA certified training, will guide you through practical planning, safe firearm use and real-world live fire exercises. The topics covered are:

✅ Creating a family inclusive defense plan.

✅ Navigating your home safely with a firearm.

✅ Setting up and understanding a Safe Room.

✅ What to do when a Threat is Encountered.

✅ Live fire drills to simulate real-life defensive scenarios.

This isn’t about paranoia. It’s about preparedness. Whether you live alone or have a family to protect, this course helps you create a defense plan that’s practical, legal, and effective.

What to Bring

Students will need to have the following items for class.

  • Handgun (available for rent at no additional cost)

  • 75 Rounds of Ammunition

  • Eye and Ear Protection

  • Flashlight or Firearm-mounted light
